Illuminate Your Creative Vision - Wireless DMX Lighting Control from Android

Illuminate Your Creative Vision - Wireless DMX Lighting Control from Android

The ability to craft captivating lighting experiences has been unleashed for creators with the innovative combination of Android devices and wireless DMX controllers. These intuitive solutions condense immense capability into handheld simplicity - offering lighting designers, stage technicians and decor enthusiasts new levels of creative versatility and freedom.

At the core lies the WiFi DMX controller. This self-contained hardware connects directly to all standard DMX fixtures - from LED par cans, strobes and moving heads to classic dimmable incandescent bulbs. Tablets and phones then become sophisticated mobile lighting desks - controlling everything from architectural accent spotlights, strings of fairy lights and RGB floods to laser projectors and projection mapping arrays.

The lighting controller apps transform devices into intuitive, visual interfaces rather than cryptic physical consoles. Select colors, sculpt scenes, program dynamic chases or tap into manual channel control of DMX universes. This condenses functions that once required extensive hardware networks into creative palms.

Beyond advanced programming, embrace freedom through untethered mobility and flexible placement. Walk your venue and tailor lighting looks, themes, color palettes and automation from any desired vantage rather than some predefined corner. Truly tweak RGBAW color mixing or movement fluidly without app interpretation hindrances.

Android mobility redefines modern lighting direction capabilities, catering equally to pre-visualization needs and live adjustment flexibility. Wield visually stunning power with the convenience of touch. Mix creativity with expanded potential through wireless DMX control by Android.

Halloween Lights with DMX

Halloween Lights with DMX

Halloween is a time when people go all out to create a spooky and captivating atmosphere, and what better way to do it than with an array of creative lighting effects? One popular method for controlling Halloween lights is using DMX (Digital Multiplex) technology. In this article, we'll explore how easy it is to control your Halloween lights with DMX and why it's an excellent choice for achieving hauntingly beautiful lighting displays.
DMX is a lighting control protocol widely used in the entertainment industry. It allows for precise and versatile control of lighting fixtures. DMX512, the most common version, is capable of controlling up to 512 channels, making it perfect for intricate lighting setups, which is ideal for your Halloween display.

The flexibility of DMX technology is one of its most significant advantages for Halloween lighting. You can create various spooky effects, including:

1. Color Mixing: Change the colors of your lights to create an eerie and otherworldly atmosphere.

2. Dimming: Control the intensity of your lights to set the mood.

3. Movement: If you have moving head lights, you can make them swivel and pan to give your Halloween display an extra layer of spookiness.

4. Strobe Effects: Create lightning-fast strobe effects for a sudden and shocking ambiance.

5. Synchronization: Sync your lights with music or sound effects for an immersive experiences

One of the fantastic aspects of using DMX for your Halloween lights is the ease of setup. Here's how to get started:

1. DMX Controller: You'll need a DMX controller to send signals to your lights. This is where our controllers come in.There is no need for PC or laptop. They're easy to set up with your android device. You can choose from our 3 different versions according to your setup.

2. DMX Fixtures: Your Halloween lights need to be DMX-compatible. These fixtures have DMX inputs, allowing you to connect them to your controller. There are a variety of DMX-compatible lights available, from simple LED fixtures to more complex moving head lights.

3. Wiring: Connect your DMX controller to your DMX fixtures using DMX cables. These cables transmit the control signals from the controller to the lights.

4. Programming: Most DMX controllers offer intuitive programming interfaces. You can set up scenes, colors, intensity, and even create dynamic effects easily. Many software-based controllers allow for a visual representation of your lighting setup, making it even simpler to design your Halloween display.

Controlling your Halloween lights with DMX is easier than you might think. With the right DMX controller, fixtures, and a little creativity, you can design a spectacular and spine-chilling lighting display that will leave your neighbors and trick-or-treaters in awe. Whether you want a subtle, eerie glow or a full-blown haunted house, DMX technology gives you the power to create the Halloween atmosphere of your dreams. So, this Halloween, consider embracing the power of DMX to make your spooky lighting visions a reality.

Go Totally Wire free

Go Wireless for Flexible DMX Lighting Control
A great addition to my DMX lighting controllers is wireless DMX receivers and transmitters. These devices allow me to cut the cord and enable completely cable-free control of my fixture setups.
The wireless DMX kit transmits my lighting control signals reliably without any noticeable lag or delay. It’s been invaluable when working with temporary event setups involving dozens of DMX lights - from RGB laser displays at concerts to color-changing uplights at weddings and parties.
Without needing to run XLR cabling between each individual unit, these wireless DMX solutions save immense time both with initial configuration and tear down. Their plug-and-play operation is far simpler than dealing with piles of cables.
The flexibility also allows me to make adjustments on the fly from anywhere in the venue using my DMX controller rather than being stuck by a wall outlet. I can tweak looks, colors and animations from the dancefloor, stage front or wherever needed.
After testing a few different options, I’ve found the following wireless DMX gear provides robust performance for taking my lighting designs cable-free:

Lixada DMX Transmitter/DMX Transmitter / 1000M Ultra Long Distance 2.4 G ISM DMX512 Wireless Transmitter/Receiver
Get it on Amazon UK here:     https://amzn.to/49dtcuE

Whether you’re a professional installer, stage designer, or hobbyist - incorporating wireless DMX opens a world of hassle-free control possibilities. It keeps the focus on creative lighting programming rather than infrastructure drudgery.

We are proud to announce release of new version of  DMX controller  called Black Box DMX (Stand-alone)

New hardware which is programmable over Android phone using Black Box DMX application for Android from google play store. This hardware is capable to control DMX stage lighting as Stand-alone Black Box. This means you dont need to have app running on the phone while running your saved sequence. The controller is programmable over Android phone but once you save your scenes and hit RUN you can turn your app off or disconnect the Bluetooth or even turn your phone or tablet OFF  which is a big advantage as you not limited to a Bluetooth range any more. Advantage of this controller to previous versions DMX controller and Dimex DMX is mostly the range. Bluetooth is typically rated to 10 meters even some clients using DMX controller and Dimex DMX reported distances of 25 meters. So with Black Box DMX you dont have to worry about loosing connection. DMX controller and Dimex DMX do have auto reconnect which means once you back in range your programmed sequence will start ruining and you'll gain the full control again but you will have to get back to range.

With the NEW Black Box DMX all this is past. you can program it and forget about your Android phone or tablet and your sequence will be running for hours even days (unless you physically disconnect it from power.)

In this case you will have to power it (obviously) and reconnect with app and run your sequence again.

On top of that the Black Box DMX is not lucking other features of the previous version DMX controller. Features like joystick  for easier control of your scanners and moving heads are still at your disposal in this new controller. Even if  the Black Box DMX is stand-alone black box you can still control the lights in real time in fact there is a big improvement on speed comparing to the DMX controller. As with the Dimex DMX the new  Black Box DMX has no delay when running the sequenceDMX controller standard version has a delay of 0,06 second per channel when running auto sequence. Not much but still a delay and you can really feel if running 24 channel sequences as its adds up. With the new Black Box DMX there is no delay at all (well we know no delay doesn't exist in our universe)  So we would like to say it is the best of all our controllers. The is only one thing where the Dimex DMX score more point for and that is the amount of channels. Where Black Box DMX and Black Box DMX has up to 24 channels the Dimex DMX is winning  with 256 channels. But again Dimex DMX is run by much more powerful hardware which comes at price and makes Dimex DMX the most expensive product out of all 3 of them.

Android phone to DMX

Wireless DMX stage lighting controller Just got Better !!!

We are proud to announce release of new version of "DMX controller" application
We improved on stability, layout and other things but the main reason for this update was long awaited ability to save scenes. We want to thank all our customers for feadback and suggestions. We listened and took all comets on board. We know it was along awaited update but, hey its here.
We also improved on the joystick which could only control channel 1 and 2.
So if your moving head TILT and PAN was on different channel you were pretty much stuck.
Well good news the new version will allow you to select your own channels to be controlled by joystick. Below channel selection for the joy are trigger buttons which you can define your self in the new version. We added faders for all channels rather than just first 10
There are still some limits on how much we can update this application due to the hardware used.
In order for the application being compatible with the hundreds of controllers out there we had to make some sacrifices. There are some delays when controlling multiple channels. In fact more channels are saved in scene longer the delay is. So our advice is to only enable channels which you are actually using. If you have light with 3 channels have only 3 channels enabled(ticked) to minimised the delay. We only talking about 0.05 second of a delay but for us its not a real time.
I am sure our current customers will appreciate the new update.Click on the image below to see it on GooglePlay.

To satisfy more challenging needs of our customers we also released to production DIMEX wireless DMX controller which can do much more.It comes with more powerful hardware capable of controlling 512 channels, Saving 50 channels with no delay and has few other functions like auto chase and smooth chase.Click on DIMEX  below to read more.
