We are proud to announce release of new version of DMX controller called Black Box DMX (Stand-alone)
New hardware which is programmable over Android phone using Black Box DMX application for Android from google play store. This hardware is capable to control DMX stage lighting as Stand-alone Black Box. This means you dont need to have app running on the phone while running your saved sequence. The controller is programmable over Android phone but once you save your scenes and hit RUN you can turn your app off or disconnect the Bluetooth or even turn your phone or tablet OFF which is a big advantage as you not limited to a Bluetooth range any more. Advantage of this controller to previous versions DMX controller and Dimex DMX is mostly the range. Bluetooth is typically rated to 10 meters even some clients using DMX controller and Dimex DMX reported distances of 25 meters. So with Black Box DMX you dont have to worry about loosing connection. DMX controller and Dimex DMX do have auto reconnect which means once you back in range your programmed sequence will start ruining and you'll gain the full control again but you will have to get back to range.
With the NEW Black Box DMX all this is past. you can program it and forget about your Android phone or tablet and your sequence will be running for hours even days (unless you physically disconnect it from power.)
In this case you will have to power it (obviously) and reconnect with app and run your sequence again.
On top of that the Black Box DMX is not lucking other features of the previous version DMX controller. Features like joystick for easier control of your scanners and moving heads are still at your disposal in this new controller. Even if the Black Box DMX is stand-alone black box you can still control the lights in real time in fact there is a big improvement on speed comparing to the DMX controller. As with the Dimex DMX the new Black Box DMX has no delay when running the sequence. DMX controller standard version has a delay of 0,06 second per channel when running auto sequence. Not much but still a delay and you can really feel if running 24 channel sequences as its adds up. With the new Black Box DMX there is no delay at all (well we know no delay doesn't exist in our universe) So we would like to say it is the best of all our controllers. The is only one thing where the Dimex DMX score more point for and that is the amount of channels. Where Black Box DMX and Black Box DMX has up to 24 channels the Dimex DMX is winning with 256 channels. But again Dimex DMX is run by much more powerful hardware which comes at price and makes Dimex DMX the most expensive product out of all 3 of them.
For easier comparison of the differences see the table below:
